去年に続き娘が２度目の参加だったこの週末。
YA (Young Americans)たちの底抜けの明るさと、圧倒的にポジティブなエネルギーで、たった３日でショーを作り上げる。
うまい子も、苦手な子も、スターも、ちょっとシャイな子も、みんな一緒に全身で表現すること。みんなでやり遂げること。
年も、国籍も、言葉も、スキルも、ぜーーんぶ超越したところで最高のショーを作り上げて、後に残るのは数えきれないほどの High Five と Hug と Laughter と ちょっとだけ Tears.
ものより経験ってCMあったけど、本当にそう思う。

ヤングアメリカンズは1962年に設立された音楽公演と教育活動を行うアメリカの非営利団体です。

アメリカでは数多くの音楽番組に出演、6人の大統領から招かれるなど、歌やダンス、そして楽器演奏など数々のパフォーマンスを行ってきました。

彼らを描いたドキュメンタリーフィルムはアカデミー賞も獲得しています。今回来日するのはヤングアメリカンズに所属する約300人のなかからオーディションで選ばれた45人の若者です。

WHO WE WERE.

The Young Americans was founded in 1962 by Milton C. Anderson. During the 60′s and 70′s, the group would appear on numerous variety shows, singing and dancing with entertainers such as Judy Garland, Johnny Mathis, Julie Andrews, James McCraken, Dorothy Kirsten, Vic Damone, George Burns, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Henry Mancini, and Dean Martin. Eventually the group began touring internationally presenting concerts and musicals for presidents, heads of state, and audiences worldwide. This included a summer at the Bicentennial Celebration in Washington D.C. Among its 3,000+ alumni are professionals in music education, fine arts, motion pictures, television, radio, Broadway and recording.

WHO WE ARE NOW!

The Young Americans are focused on providing music education and performance opportunities to young people around the world. The International Music Outreach Tours promote the importance of music education by bringing music workshops to 4th through 12th grade students around the world. The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts provides an innovative and creative learning environment that fosters artistic, intellectual and personal growth for those interested in becoming performers or arts educators.

OUR MISSION.

The Young Americans is dedicated to the promotion of understanding and goodwill among people throughout the world through music, dance, performance, academic education and cultural interaction among student members and their audiences.
